Back in January, Pack 647 Scout Darryl M. became a finalist in the Detroit Area Cub Scouts "Visions of Youth Art Contest". As part of the contest prize, Darryl and the other scouts went on a personal walking art tour today with local Detroit artist Hubert Massey. Mr. Massey does all kinds of artwork from Italian frescoes to murals to stained glass and his work in featured at Campus Martius, the Detroit Athletic Club, the Charles Wright Museum of African American History, the Atheneum Hotel, the Detroit IRS building, The Center for Creative Studies, and Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.
On the walking tour with Mr. Massey, the scouts were able to see and touch the artwork as Mr. Massey explained his artwork to them. What a great experience!!!
