The UN Foundation's "Nothing But Nets" Program announced that the Boy Scouts of America has joined the malaria-prevention campaign as part of its 100th Anniversary Celebration. Throughout the year, Scouts will work to raise awareness about malaria, a leading killer in Africa.The kick-off for this partnership was filmed in Detroit on August 27th.
Detroit Piston Deron Williams was present at the kick-off celebration. The Detroit Pistons have developed a Public Service Annoucement from the film taken at the kick-off celebration and our own 647 scouts Ali G., Nathan H., and Harold H. were included in the final PSA.
